New Jersey Nets 09-10

The New Jersey Nets (maybe the New York Nets shortly) finished the 08′-09′ regular season with a 34-48 year. The Nets weren’t a great team on the road or at their own arena either since they had poor statistics no matter where they were.

The Nets were 19th in scoring and 17th in scoring defense.

The Nets best scorer was Devin Harris at 21.3 points per night who had an all-star year. Harris has emerged as 1 of the finest point guards in the league.

Harris has spent the majority of his career with the Dallas Mavericks – the Mavs probably are sorry for dealing him elsewhere because he is youthful and has bettered his scoring totals every year. The Nets did deal away Vince Carter – who currently plays with the Orlando Magic. Carter played a colossal part in helping the Nets get to the NBA Finals in 03′.

The Nets are in the midst of rebuilding their franchise. There happen to be lots of questions that must be addressed in order for the Nets to become a force in the East once more. Might they relocate to Brooklyn?

Might they find a new arena any time soon? Could they sign a big time free agent (Lebron James)? This is certainly a growth stage for the team.

The Nets do have a couple of great, young athletes they may keep and hope someday they grow into extremely great or even amazing athletes – Chris Douglas-Roberts, Brook Lopez, & Terrence Williams.

Not a lot is anticipated from the New Jersey Nets this season – they have 1 really good player in Devin Harris & the rest are merely average so far. Most would predict the Nets win the same number of games this season too, 32-35 diversity.

Hopefully, the Nets hold onto Devin Harris for the long term and at the end of the day sign a free agent to bring the Nets to one more NBA Championship.
